- Bamboo whisk (chasen) — hand-cut Japanese Madake bamboo, about 100 prongs
- Ceramic bowl (chawan) — hand-pinched stoneware, about 12 cm across

How to use
- Soak the whisk in warm water for 5 minutes before first use.
- Sift about ½ teaspoon of matcha into the bowl.
- Add about 80 ml of hot (not boiling) water, around 175°F.
- Whisk in a W motion for 15–20 seconds until a fine foam forms.
Care
Rinse the whisk in warm water after each use, no soap. Let it dry upright on its holder. With daily use a whisk lasts about 8–12 months.
Pair with: our Ceremonial Matcha — Uji, Kyoto. Matcha powder is not included with this set.
